Go Beyond Nice
Minnesotans are known for being friendly, welcoming, kind and encouraging. We always look for the best in people and situations. It’s called “Minnesota Nice!” We celebrate these qualities that make our state special. However, to truly Bless Minnesota we must Go Beyond Nice. Christians are called to demonstrate radical love for the world and every person in it.
To Go Beyond Nice is to…
- be real
- risk something for God
- speak the truth in love
- demonstrate kindness
- serve enthusiastically
- give generously
- share Jesus boldly
To Go Beyond Nice is to fulfill Jesus’ heart for his people when he said,
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
Paul said, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
Peter wrote,“…love one another deeply, from the heart.” 1 Peter 1:22b
BlessMN is a transformational Christian ministry.
We believein the power of God to change people’s lives through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person is a minister. We believe that as followers of Jesus we are called to serve others and that “…it is the kindness of God that leads to repentance.” Romans 5:2
We believe that Jesus has already redeemed the world and that we are now called to reclaim it by inviting people to be reconciled to God and one another. We believe that the Holy Spirit desires to empower our words, work and witness so that we might give God glory and point people to Jesus who is “the way and the truth and the life.” John 14:6
